2007
Through the Negev is a collaborative documentary about Sudanese asylum seekers in Israel.
In February 2007, our production team went to Israel to report on the experiences of Sudanese women and children who had found refuge in a woman's shelter in Haifa. They had arrived in Israel by walking through the Negev Desert, escaping violence against Sudanese refugees in Cairo.
The beautiful photographs are by Karen Reiter and the project was produced by Deborah Esquenazi with Anne Glickman. You can purchase the film through DER
